Art 2 is a more demanding course than Art 1, and the students are responsible for learning
more difficult techniques, and try to master these through various exercises. There is a
prerequisite of having taken Art 1 to be able to take this class.
Below is some of Art 2 students' most reacent work. These works incorporate
two techniques. One is the technique of careful shading, which is why all
the pictures show basically the same objects. A light was shone on the
objects at an angle, creating excellent shadows. The other technique is
pointism, where the picture is created by drawing hundreds of tiny black
dots, so when it is viewed at a distance the dots combine to form a single
image. When viewed closely, the image is obscured by the dot pattern.
